Shape how BMLSIA looks across health campaigns, digital products, events, and social, turning complex lab science into visuals people actually remember.

We’re looking for a Graphic Designer who can make science look good and make it make sense.

BMLSIA is building the future of biomedical laboratory science in Nigeria through education, innovation, and community health work. That means a lot of visual output: campaign flyers, social content, event branding, reports, slide decks, and product interfaces. You’ll own the look and feel of all of it.

You’ll work directly with the leadership and product teams, so your ideas get seen and shipped fast. If you’re someone who sweats the details, loves a clean grid, and can go from a rough brief to a polished final without hand-holding, you’ll fit right in.

Responsibilities

  • Design social media graphics, campaign visuals, and event materials that are consistent with the BMLSIA brand

  • Build and maintain a brand system: logos, colour palette, typography, templates, and usage guidelines

  • Create presentation decks, reports, and print collateral (flyers, banners, certificates, brochures)

  • Collaborate with developers to produce web and product visuals, including illustrations, icons, and UI assets

  • Turn technical or scientific content into clear infographics and explainers

  • Take a brief from idea to final export, on deadline and with minimal supervision

  • Give and take feedback quickly, and iterate without ego

Requirements

  • Solid portfolio showing brand, social, and layout work

  • Strong command of Canva, Photoshop, Figma, Adobe Illustrator, or equivalent tools

  • Good eye for typography, spacing, colour, and hierarchy

  • Ability to prepare print-ready and web-optimised files

  • Reliable, organised, and comfortable working to tight deadlines

  • Clear written communication in English

  • Nice to have: motion design (After Effects, Lottie, or similar), basic video editing, or interest in health, science, or education

What you get

  • Real ownership over a growing brand, not just handed tasks

  • Direct access to leadership and fast decisions

  • Work that reaches students, clinicians, and communities across Nigeria

  • Flexible, remote-friendly working

  • Portfolio-worthy projects with credit

  • Room to grow into a creative lead role as BMLSIA scales
